The training course “Open ECBCheck” will make you a certified Open ECBCheck reviewer. Open ECBCheck is a global initiative consisting of UN agencies and other international capacity building initiatives which have agreed on a quality standard and developed a quality label for the field of ICT. For more and more leaders in educational organisations, professionals and developers of learning materials, authors or curriculum designers quality of ICT enhanced learning is an issue. Open ECBCheck is providing a toolset for developing and checking quality of programs and courses. The training course will provide you with in depth knowledge of quality management of e-learning delivery and e-learning development and will familiarize you with using the effective Open ECBCheck methodology to apply to your own and other programs and courses.

Along with this knowledge you will undergo a full case based review yourself and will be admitted to the Open ECBCheck pool of reviewers. In the future you will then be able to help other organisations to develop top quality e-learning, consult them on open ECBCheck and perform peer-reviews in our global initiative.

The training will take place in Turin, Italy at ITC-ILO campus starting on June 20 and ending on June 23rd, 2011

1. will be familiar with the concepts of the Open ECBCheck Quality Framework for programmes and Courses.
2. will have understood and critically discussed the concept of a community based and low-cost quality certification
3. will be competent in using the online tools for self-assessment and peer-review Open ECBCheck provides
4. will have conducted one full self-assessment of one of their own programmes (?)
5. will have conducted one full peer-review of a programme of another participant
6. will have critically discussed the self-assessment and peer-review process
7. will be competent peer-reviewers in the Open ECBCheck community
